Until recently, this tradescantia was known as No Id. It differs significantly from Tradescantia mundula variegated ( in color and type of leaf surface). This cultivar was discovered thanks to the reverted twig. It turned out to be Tradescantia mundula.

Wrong names: Tradescantia fluminensis Tricolor, Tradescantia fluminensis Quadricolor, Tradescantia fluminensis 'Laekenensis Rainbow', Tradescantia zebrina 'Rainbow Hill', Tradescantia quadricolor 'Rainbow Hill', Tradescantia carnival and many others.
This is one of the most popular cultivars of tradescantia. It is available in many stores and florists. After purchase, it is best to transplant it into a permeable substrate or cut twigs and root.
Tradescantia mundula variegated does not revert permanently, i.e. even on completely green twigs, variegation may appear (although this is very difficult to achieve). In order for Tradescantia mundula variegated to be colorful, it must be given plenty of sun and cut twigs that turn green. It should also be remembered that cut twigs „without green” will not survive.
Producers sell this cultivar as Quadricolor or fluminensis Quadricolor, which is nonsense, because the only Quadricolor that currently exists is Tradescantia zebrina 'Quadricolor'. You can find more about common names <<here>>.
